The Joy of More Megapixels
Thursday, February 4, 2010 at 09:52AM Over the past couple of weeks I had the chance to use a friend's Canon 5D Mark II for a range of shooting opportunities. Going from a Canon 30D with 8 megapixels on a cropped sensor, to 21 megapixels on a full frame sensor was quite a jump.
Even before taking any photos, the difference in looking through the viewfinder was amazing. Much brighter, much larger, and just a different feel altogether.

After the first shot, a look at the LCD on the back of the camera and the much larger, much brighter LCD was an incredible improvement.
After downloading the image, having the option to crop and still have lots of pixels left was amazing.
